About Michael Turley

Micheal Turley, of West Jordan, UT, is a Senior Consultant, a former technology executive, and a former Brigadier General who served decades in the United States military (USMC and USA), rising through the ranks from enlisted to General Officer.

Turley began his military career in 1985 as an active-duty United States Marine and served in various deployments critical to our nation’s security and peacekeeping efforts. After being commissioned as an Army Engineer Officer, he steadily rose to a Commanding General. While in traditional reservist status, he also had a successful civilian career in technology and healthcare, working as a project manager, sales and account representative, and a senior executive. Since leaving military service, Turley has had a successful career as a Senior Government Consultant with a top-secret clearance, working across the continent of Africa in multiple countries and in multiple consulting and training roles.

Michael Turley successfully pivoted into a career in healthcare administration and technology after leaving active service as a US Marine and transitioning to a Reserve Commission in the US Army. His skills as a private businessman have proven quite effective, and he likes to credit his military experience and training as pivotal to strong leadership and high adaptability. He was Co-Principal of a $10M/year tech startup, SmartTalk Inc., a healthcare communications (software solution) company that allowed healthcare providers to access patient information and securely communicate. Michael managed accounts and leveraged cost-saving initiatives to achieve a 90% profit margin for SmartTalk, Inc. and reduce costs and communication errors for thousands of healthcare providers across the United States in the ambulatory and traditional hospital space. He helped launch SmartTalk, Inc. (with venture capital funding) through a successful business plan to profitability and an eventual profitable sale to investors. He worked at SmartTalk, Inc. for 12 years, rising to the position of President.
